Jasmine is a stunning calico who wants so badly to be loved. She is a cautious kitty who rarely ventures out on her own to seek attention. Recently, we sat on the floor in her room and let her investigate on her own terms, assisted with a more confident kitty and Jasmine joined in the cuddles! She loved being petted, adored the chin scratches and purred with delight. She even played with a little mouse covered in catnip! It's hard for a girl like her to gain confidence in a crowded, noisy shelter but she's doing her best. We have faith that in a quieter home with a patient family, Jasmine will show her more playful side!
All PAWS cats and dogs are current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm disease. Cats/kittens are tested (and are negative) for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
