My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This stunner is Raven!

Raven is an approximately 2.5-year old female Border Collie/Labrador mix and weighs around 50 lbs. She was rescued from a local shelter.

Raven is very playful, high-energy dog, who will need an active individual or family to give her plenty of exercise, physically and mentally. She is super smart and catches on to things quickly! She has even been through puppy training class, and we recommend continuing her training.

Raven is unsure of people in public situations and will bark at strangers. Once she is in a home and comfortable, her affectionate and playful side comes out. She will make someone a very loyal and fun dog! She plays in group with an assortment of dogs.

Raven has been around children in a previous foster home and did excellent. She has not been around cats and would probably not do well with them due to her energy. She is a great watch dog and protective of her people.

Raven is crate, house, and leash trained.

Raven is spayed, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225.

HOME CHECK REQUIRED. NEEDS A STOCKADE FENCE.

Since Raven is in a boarding situation, she is eligible as a foster-to-adopt or just to foster.

Additional adoption info

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake.

We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), a house check, and our adoption fee is $225.00.

If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet.

Forever Yours Dog Rescue does not have a facility, all of our wonderful rescues are in foster homes with families that take care of them and love them until their forever homes come along.

More about this rescue

Forever Yours Dog Rescue was founded on November 8th, 2011, with the mission of helping smaller animal shelters located throughout Oklahoma.

We are an Oklahoma City based all-breed 501(c) dog rescue, caring for the unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs of Oklahoma. We rescue from local shelters and shelters throughout Oklahoma. We do take owner surrender's under certain situations.

We advocate spay/neuter and offer assistance in finding a low-cost option for those that qualify.

We promote adoption as an alternative to buying your pet.
We provide pet ownership education through materials, counceling, and on-site workshops, at no cost to the public, with an emphasis on preventative care.

We are all volunteer based, with no paid employees.
Please support us in our mission to attain a time in Oklahoma when there are homes for all adoptable pets by donating at www.foreveryoursokc.org/donate.
