My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lucy, also known as Flossie—the eight-year-old love bug with a heart as big as the sky! ☁️💛 This sweet Shepherd/Golden mix is the perfect blend of gentle and charming, always ready to brighten your day with her warm, soulful eyes and affectionate nature. And let’s talk about that smile—Lucy has the kind of grin that can melt hearts in an instant! 😍 She’s a pro at sitting like a lady and will eagerly shake your hand as if to say, "Nice to meet you, friend!" 🤝 With her natural grace, wisdom, and just the right amount of playful tail wags, Lucy’s golden personality shines as brightly as her fluffy coat. ✨

Lucy isn’t just any dog—she’s the best girl. 🥰 She’s always up for leisurely strolls, cozy couch time, or simply being your most loyal companion. With every gentle nuzzle and happy grin, she’ll remind you just how special she is. 🐶💖 Lucy is ready to fill your life with unconditional love and joy—could you be the lucky one to give this sweetheart the forever home she’s been dreaming of? 🏡🌟

More about this rescue

The vision of Animal Compassion Team has been years in the making, shaped by hard work, heartbreak, and an unwavering love for animals. Despite the challenges, we chose this path because saving lives matters—it's that simple. Every dog, cat, and animal we rescue reaffirms our commitment to making a difference. In August 2009, we took a leap of faith and became a 501(c)3 non-profit, ready to turn hope into action. Each life saved makes every effort worthwhile, and we look forward to sharing countless happy endings.

Our Mission Statement
To provide a safe haven for animals of all breeds and species through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for humane treatment, promote the human-animal bond, and educate about kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership, emphasizing spaying and neutering. Together with other rescues and shelters, we strive toward a no-kill nation.
