My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Aiden loved his person...his dad. Then, his dad passed away. Although Aiden still lived with his mom and human brothers, he was depressed. He felt they had taken his person away from him. Needless to say, he was not a happy camper!! During this time, his mom noticed that he was having issues and took him to the vet. They found out that he was diabetic. Just what he needed on top of everything else. Long story short, he did not enjoy his mom giving him the shots (where was his dad??). She needed one of the sons to help her. The situation was going to change with both sons going to college, and Aiden needed a new place. That is when he came to Purr-Fect Match as a foster cat.

Working with the wonderful vets at our clinic, his glucose level has been regulated so that his weight is stabilized and he does not bottom out on insulin. He gets one insulin shot twice a day, and his foster mom hasn't had any trouble doing that...especially if he is eating!  Goodness but this boy is food driven!! That makes some things easy. However, because he is diabetic, he does need to be fed only at the times he is getting his insulin shots. That can make him cranky, or as his foster mom puts it, "spicy!"  He has a big personality and needs a loving home where he can find love again. Where he can be out and about in the house and not just in a room of his own. Warning:  he can get nippy if he gets agitated, so would not do well in a house with younger children or a home with an elderly person who has tender skin. That said, he will also come up and want to be petted. He does want attention. How about giving this senior cat a chance to live out the rest of his life with a family? Even a family of one! He can get along with other cats, but his relationship with dogs is untried.

If you are interested in Aiden or any of our adoptable pets, we ask that you will out a non-binding adoption application on our website: purrfectmatch.rescuegroups.org/forms. If you have questions, please email us at purrfectmatch13@gmail.com or call our voicemail at 920-234-5995. Thank you for choosing to adopt!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

A potential adopter must complete an application. It will be sent to the Board of Directors for approval. Upon approval, a home visit is done (either with or without the animal(s)). If all goes well, the animal will stay at the home. There is a two-week probationary period where either the adoptive parents or the foster parents can determine the animal should not stay. If this happens during the two weeks, adoption fees are returned. At the time of the adoption, a contract is signed. The adopter is given a full medical history, microchip information, etc. If applicable, a microchip transfer fee will be attained. The adoption fee for a kitten is $75. Any additional kitten is $25. A cat (1 - 6 years) is $40. Additional cat (1 - 6 years) is $20. Senior cats (7 and above) are $20. Puppies (up to 1 year) are $250. Dogs (1 - 6 years) are $150. Senior dogs (7 and above) are $100. Tax of 5% will be added to all adoptions within the state of Wisconsin.
