*This is a bonded pair and they will need to be adopted together. These dogs do not belong to ASF and haven’t been evaluated by ASF. The owner is surrendering them because they moved to Florida in 2024 and the dogs haven’t adjusted to the humidity, which causes them to overheat. The owner is also unable to provide the exercise that they need.*
Meet Asher (red merle)! He is an 5 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 56 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention. Asher is good with kids, dogs and farm animals! He can be protective around strangers inside of the home, especially if they scream. No cats, because he will chase them!
Meet Whiskey (red bi)! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 45 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention. Asher is good with kids, dogs and farm animals! He can be protective around strangers inside of the home, especially if they scream. No cats, because he will chase them!
If you think you can provide a great home for Asher and Whiskey, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $300 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Asher and Whiskey.

Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.
In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 27,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.
Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.
We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
