My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Some like to stop and smell the roses, Sour Dough likes to stop and smell EVERYTHING! She loves to investigate the world around her during outings and loves adventures.

Sour Dough is 3 years old, so she's not quite ready to be a full couch potato just yet! Though she loves to lounge, she is ALWAYS up for a game of fetch. Always lol. She loves squeaky toys and pull ropes and chew bones... all the things! Bonus if there is peanut butter involved. She is house trained and crate trained, and will also willingly hang out in her crate, door open, to chew a bone or play with a toy.

The perfect home for this girl would be one where she is either the only pet, or has a very tolerant dog friend. She has a high prey drive, so no cats or small animals, please. She would love to have play date friends, though. You see, she is fine with other dogs in a lot of situations. But she doesn't like sharing her food, treats or toys with other dog friends. In her foster home, she lives with two very low key dogs who let her basically have whatever she wants because they just want to lay around. But when out and about, she loves to romp and play with a dog friend or two, since there's nothing but play.

She hasn't officially met little kids, so we aren't sure how she'd do, but she's very happy to meet people. She tends to jump up when happy, so maybe no little kids so they don't accidentally get knocked down. But an active family would be great for her! She's spayed, up to date on all pertinent vaccines and heartworm negative, ready to go. If you're interested in knowing more, shoot an inquiry to the shelter so they can get you in contact with her foster family.
