Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Paige is a 8-year old, 50-pound terrier mix who is available for adoption at Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR), Fort Lauderdale’s only no-kill animal shelter.
Paige loves stuffed toys and playing fetch! This sweet girl just wants to be by your side and is very easygoing in the home. She is also potty trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. Paige is now a healthy, happy dog, but she was originally found abandoned on the streets and was skin and bones. She is very forgiving as she still loves all people she meets.
Paige is a mature dog with a playful personality. She was in a foster home with one of our volunteers who called her “an absolute dream of a house guest.” A home without kids is best as she sometimes can be mouthy when she plays. While she does well meeting most other dogs on walks, a home without other pets is ideal as she is not a fan of sharing her toys.
Paige is healthy, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped so she’s ready to be your best friend! To adopt Paige, please complete an adoption application at AbandonedPetRescue.orgTo meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
