Lollipop is a resilient and loving dog who has overcome significant challenges to become the healthy and affectionate companion she is today. Once found in a dire situation at a kill shelter due to a severe bacterial skin infection, Lollipop has made an incredible transformation. Her once neglected and filthy coat is now shiny and beautiful, reflecting the care and love she has received.
About Lollipop
Lollipop is a delightful young girl who has grown from a tiny puppy into a wonderful companion dog. She is active, a bit shy at first, but incredibly affectionate once she forms a bond with you.
Age: Approximately 1.5 years old
Breed: Whippet mix
Health: Spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines
Personality: Shy at first, but quickly warms up and becomes playful
Compatibility: Good with cats, enjoys the company of other dogs, but exhibits some resource guarding with food and treats
Location: Available for foster or adoption in the Maritimes
Her journey
Lollipop's journey to her current state of health and happiness has not been easy. After being adopted from Texas seven months ago, she struggled to adjust to her new home, especially around men, which led to her being relinquished by her owners. During that time, she did not spend much time outside, which further affected her ability to bond.
Now, at her foster facility, Lollipop is getting a fresh start. She enjoys running like the wind in their backyard and is receiving lots of attention from their staff. She loves hanging out with the reception team and thrives on the affection she receives.

More about this rescue
BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.
100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.
BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.
We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.
BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
