Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Applewood is an 8 month old spayed female who is up to date on her vaccinations and is microchipped!
Meet Applewood! This gorgeous calico gal is finally ready for her forever home! She spent a good portion of her live thus far growing up in a foster home that has helped her understand indoor life and humans aren't so bad after all. She has gained a lot of trust with her foster momma, and it's time she spread her wings and find her forever home. She's looking for a cat-savvy home preferably with owners who have experience in slow-to-warm kitties. Let us tell you, she is worth the wait, if you're willing to put the time and patience into her. Once Applewood warms up, she chirps and meows (sometimes tries to but no sound actually comes out) and she has a cute high pitched voice! She can be vocal especially when it's time for food! Applewood leans into and absolutely adores being pet and always comes back for more. We think she will eventually be a lap cat, as she's working on it currently and has made progress, but right now she's a bit skittish to stay in one spot for too long. When she's warmed up, she also becomes a playful girl who loves to bat at wand toys! She would be a great addition to any home, as long as the new family understands she will need a secluded space, such as a spare bedroom or bathroom, to decompress from such a big life change and build trust and a relationship with her new fam!
Applewood has lived with other kitties in her foster home and has done extraordinarily well with having a feline friend, so we require another cat in a home who is looking for a friend as well. Because of her timidness and shyer demeanor, she is required to be in a home with kids over 12 years, and no dogs. We believe this would be the best home environment for her so the family can better understand her behaviors and give her the much needed time to decompress and adjust on her own terms.
