Why hello, I’m Peggy! I’m a gorgeous cow kitty, and I’m hoping to FINALLY have a chance to be a kitten after a very rough start in life. I came in to the rescue when one of the leaders trapped me in her yard; I started showing up there for food. I had at least one sibling in the area but it looks like I’m the only one of my litter who survived ☹

After I came in for TNR, I developed a kitty cold, and my helpers noticed that I was happy to be taken care of, even allowing pets and picking up, and that I would start my purr motor if they scratched the juuuuust right spot on my chin. Everyone decided that I was ready to be an indoor girl and find a family of my very own.

I’m still shy, so I will need a patient adopter who understands that it will take time for me to warm up, and is willing to invest that time. I promise I’m worth it! I will do best in a very quiet, calm home, with no kids or with older kids who are very gentle. I don’t know if I’ve ever been around dogs or kids; so far I seem to get along with other cats.

I like both wet and dry food, and I love me some Churu treats! I also really LOVE to play with wand toys - drag them along verrrrrrry slowly and you will capture my attention quickly! Playing is a great way to help me feel secure and bond with me. I also really like a good cozy cat bed to sleep in…..for a long time I resisted the cat bed my helpers offered, but once I finally tried it out…. Wow, it became my favorite place to sleep and hang out!

I may not ever be a lap kitty, but with love and patience, you will enjoy my soft purrs and watching me play like the kitten I never really had a chance to be. After such a rough start to life, will you be my safe place to land at last?
