My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED - ALL EXPENSES PAID***

Mia is gentle. Loving. Perfect. She wants nothing more than to curl up beside someone, to rest her head in a lap, to know—just once—that she is safe. That she is home. For four long, soul crushing years, Mia knew nothing but waiting. 1,460 days - nearly half of her life - spent in a shelter or boarding facility. Watching others come and go. Watching life pass her by. Wondering why no one ever chose her.

But Mia was born with all the wrong “labels.”

She is a black dog.
She is a pit bull.
She is a senior.

And because of that, no one even gives her a chance. She has watched younger dogs come and go, wagging their tails as they trot off to their forever homes. She has seen puppies melt hearts in an instant. She has felt time slip through her paws. But Mia remained. Overlooked. Ignored. Forgotten.

Until finally, she got a second chance to feel love. A kind foster took her in and for the first time in years, she had a warm home. A soft bed. Gentle hands that pet her instead of the cold, unfeeling bars of a kennel. She started to believe she was finally safe.

But it's temporary.

Mia’s foster can only keep her until April. After that, she has nowhere to go. No other fosters have stepped forward. No adopters have come. And if no one does, she will go back boarding. Can you imagine the confusion? The heartbreak? The cries of other dogs, the clanging of gates and the cold floor under her paws again. How do you explain that it's not her fault? That she was good? That she deserved to stay? Mia will be devastated. She won’t understand why the warmth, the safety, the love—everything she dared to believe in—is gone.

We are begging. Mia doesn’t ask for much—just love, a quiet place to lay her head, and a person to call her own. She doesn’t deserve to spend her last days wondering why she was never enough.

We will cover all expenses—food, medical care, anything. Mia just needs someone to step forward before April comes and she loses everything.

Please don't let her go back.
Be her hero.
Give her a home.
