Dexter is a 4-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund (chi-weenie) mix weighing approximately 26 pounds. He came to us when his owner died and he was being kept in a tiny cage. He is timid but has come a long way. He loves to play tug of war and he is very strong. He gets along with the other dogs but has not been cat or kid-tested. He is friendly and lovable when he gets to know you. His adoption donation is $250 which includes his neuter, vaccinations, and microchip. He is heartworm-negative and on monthly prevention. He is still grieving for the loss of his owner and home so please help him heal.

A Forever Home Animal Rescue, Inc. is a no-kill organization with 15 years’ experience rescuing, fostering and adopting out animals. At AFHAR, we have helped all kinds of dogs, all breeds and all sizes, however, at this time we are capable of handling only small dogs no more than 25 pounds due to facility limitations.
