My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there Delilah! This beautiful girl is looking forward to finding her forever home. She’s about 2 and a half years old and weighs 52 pounds and is currently with a foster in Texas. According to her foster she is a very well behaved pup. She sits on command and listens when she is told “no jump.” She is very loyal and dedicated to her human and she is also extremely affectionate - she’s not one to turn down a good belly rub! She loves attention and would happily sit in your lap all day if given the chance.

Delilah was pregnant and left behind by her owners when they moved away. The landlord was going to send her to the shelter but we couldn’t let that happen. We took her in since we knew her life and lives of her future puppies would have been at risk. Once Delilah was safe in foster she gave birth to 9 beautiful puppies. Her puppies are all grown and now it’s Delilah’s turn to find a home.

Delilah gets along well with other dogs. She is a strong girl so we recommend a home with older children, and no cats. She will also need a yard with a high fence since the can climb. She loves water!!! If you have a pool or a baby pool for her to sit in during the summer she would absolutely love that. Delilah is spayed and fully vaccinated and she’s ready to come to NJ when adopted.

  • Personality: affectionate, loyal, listens, loves water, is a jumper so needs high fence
  • Good with: people (older kids), and dogs.  NO cats.
  • Training: knows some basic commands like "sit" and "no jump"
  • Estimated date of birth: February 2023
  • Weight: 52 pounds
  • Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped
  • Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport.
