My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Graysen – Your Built-In Best Friend!

Graysen is a loving, loyal pup who’s always ready to be by your side. He’s affectionate, cuddly, and happiest when snuggled up on the couch or curled up in bed at night. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is currently thriving in a foster home with two canine buddies. Graysen does well left out of the crate, content to hang out with his furry friends while you’re away.

This smart boy is very food motivated and already knows “sit” and how to shake hands. With a little consistency and a few treats, he’s sure to pick up even more tricks in no time! Due to his high prey drive, he would do best in a home without cats or small animals.

Graysen’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was brought to the shelter as a stray, adopted, and then heartbreakingly returned when he came down with an upper respiratory infection. With the shelter overcrowded, he was placed on the euthanasia list. But we couldn’t let that be the end of his story—so we stepped in and gave him the second chance he so clearly deserved.

Born in 2021 and fostered in Texas, Graysen is now healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever home. If you’ve been searching for a devoted companion to share life’s cozy moments, Graysen just might be your perfect match.

OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR COLORADO BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Colorado. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.).

Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.

Additional adoption info

The initial phase of our adoption protocol involves prospective adopters completing an adoption application.

Following submission, our administrative team conducts a thorough review, and if approved, the application is then forwarded to the animal's foster.

Subsequently, a phone interview is scheduled to address follow-up queries, provide additional information about the pet, and acquaint the adopter with our organization. If the interview is successful, arrangements are made for a meet and greet, along with a home visit. For pets adopted out of state, the meet and greet and home visit are conducted virtually.

The final steps in our adoption process include verification of identification, finalization of the adoption contract, and payment of the adoption fee.
