Mini Baker is just the sweetest, most interactive and fun cat. He loves to cuddle and is playful, intelligent, and active. Mini Baker gets along great with other cats and especially loves dog. He can be most often found spooning with his fosters large and calm dog. He would be very lonely in a home without other pets and his ideal home would have both a dog and cat.
Mini Baker has a history of inflammatory polyps, and has had a polyp removed from his ear and nasal passage. Polyps can recur in cats and it's possible he would experience a reoccurrence and need surgery again. Most clinics could perform this surgery at a reasonable cost. Mini Baker is currently seen through Precision Veterinary.
Mini Baker is an FIP Survivor and received treatment with an antiviral drug called GS-441524 to save his life as a kitten. This treatment consisted of a minimum of 12 weeks of injections or pills, as well as an additional 12-week observation period. Without treatment, FIP is considered fatal, typically within days or weeks of illness. GS-441524 has been shown to be a safe and effective therapy for the treatment of FIP in cats, with a cure rate over 80%. FIP is not contagious.
