Kevin is a 11-month-old Great Pyrenees/husky/shepherd mix. Kevin is a lovable, people-oriented pup who wants nothing more than to be by your side. With his gentle nature and sweet personality, he wins over everyone he meets. He’s very food-motivated (treats are definitely the key to his heart!) and happily trots into his crate—especially if there’s a snack involved.
Kevin enjoys playing with his dog friends, going on longer walks to explore the world, and curling up for cozy naps on his bed. He truly believes he’s a lap dog and will gladly snuggle up if you let him.
While Kevin is well-behaved and keeps his paws to himself, he does have a silly streak—he loves ripping up paper and big stuffed toys. Give him a durable plush, and he’ll be entertained for ages!
Kevin would thrive in a home that appreciates a loyal companion with a goofy, affectionate spirit. If you’re looking for a friendly dog who brings both fun and snuggles, Kevin is your guy.
He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and up-to-date on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. He is being fostered in Huntsville, Alabama.

Our adoptable animals are fostered in loving homes throughout Huntsville, Alabama and the surrounding area. Because we do not operate a physical shelter, meet-and-greets are arranged by appointment only—typically after an adoption application has been submitted and approved.
For out-of-town adopters, we’re happy to offer virtual meet-and-greets to help you get to know your future furry family member before adoption or transport.

More about this rescue
Friends of Rescue is headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama with transport locations throughout the Great Lakes and New England. FOR is a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2009.
Our mission is to save adoptable dogs and cats from overcrowded Southern shelters where limited space, minimal funding, and high intake rates often lead to euthanasia.
We are not professional trainers or animal behaviorists—just dedicated individuals working together to give these animals a second chance. Every pet in our program lives in a loving foster home and receives age-appropriate veterinary care while awaiting adoption.
Our ultimate goal is to match each animal with a committed, compassionate individual or family who will provide a FORever home.
