Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Have you met Bart-Man? 🦸♂️🐾
Bart came to us at just 4 months old, full of fire, personality, and a protector’s heart. Now, over 7 months later, this Dutch Shepherd mix is still waiting for someone to see the amazing dog he truly is.
Bart might be small, but his spirit is anything but. He proudly patrols his kennel like a little superhero on duty—if he were human, we’re pretty sure he’d be pumping iron and flexing his muscles somewhere on the Jersey Shore. 💪
But underneath all that confidence? He’s a total softie. Bart lives for cuddles, belly rubs, and attention from the people he trusts. He’s come a long way since arriving, and every day he continues to grow into a more affectionate, loyal companion.
Bart needs a home that understands him—someone patient, consistent, and ready to give him the guidance he needs. He does best with slow introductions to new people and other animals, but once you’re in his circle, you’re in for life.
After spending over 7 months in the shelter, Bart’s more than ready to trade in kennel life for a cozy bed, a backyard to patrol, and a human to call his own.
If you think you're the hero Bart’s been waiting for, come meet him at the Battlefords Humane Society—he’s ready to be your loyal sidekick. 🐾❤️

We are committed to helping each potential owner
choose an animal best suited to the owner's life
style. Each animal currently available for adoption has his or her own special story and some have yet to feel the comfort and security of a loving home. Your interest in adopting one of our special friends means that you are a caring
and responsible person. Make no "bones"
about it - adopting a pet is a very
important decision! And, like any
important decision, it requires a
lot of thought and consideration.
