Lucy & Bosco are 5 year old German shepherd mix littermates.
Lucy is extremely smart. She would thrive as a working dog on a farm or as a therapy dog. She is intuitive and compassionate, loving her humans fiercely. She wants to lay at your feet, or walk right next to you wherever you go. Mostly she wants to be next to you. She likes to have a job to do. If she is not given a job, she will find her own such as herding the cat. We do not have a yard for her to play in. When trying to leash train her and her brother, she gets frustrate with him not catching on and learning things. She learns quickly if she is the only dog getting trained. She is bored every day while her brother is totally content laying around. Our family situation has recently changed. Not wanting to experience anymore loss, my son & I have been trying to care for them but they deserve better than what we can provide. We'd like them to stay together but will separate them if we need to.
