My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Boots! 🐾

This handsome 2-year-old grey and white boy is named Boots, and just like his name suggests, he’s got style—though he’s a bit too shy to show it off right away.

Boots is very skittish and tends to keep his distance at first. Life may not have always been easy for him, so he’s still learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place. What he needs most is a calm, quiet home where he can feel secure and take things at his own pace.

He’s not the type to ask for attention, but with time, patience, and lots of love, Boots has the potential to come out of his shell. He’d thrive with someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to give him the space he needs to feel safe.

If you're looking for a quiet companion who just needs a chance to blossom, Boots might be your perfect match. Come meet this sweet, sensitive soul—he’s waiting for someone just like you. 💙🐾

More about this rescue

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
