Cactus is an affectionate boy who made the long journey from Quebec in hopes of finding his forever home. Don’t be fooled by the name—he is anything but prickly! This little lovebug absolutely lives to cuddle and be brushed.
ABOUT CACTUS - In foster - With the help of a foster family, Cactus is on a journey to adapt to a new environment and become more comfortable around people. - Contrary to his name, Cactus is a giant teddy bear who enjoys full body pets and belly rubs once he feels safe. His sweet spots are the bridge of his nose, shoulder massages, and head, cheek, and chin scratches. - If you need a nap, Cactus will be sure to watch over you. With any luck, you’ll wake up to his chubby cheeks and “toupee” face staring right at you. - Cactus loves cuddles, kisses, and head boops. He also wants to hold your hand. Or your face. Or your nose. Or your eye. He clearly just wants to be anywhere near his person, no limits! - He’s a purr machine and dedicated “biscuit” maker with his paws—air biscuits, blanket biscuits, leg and hand biscuits, he’s mastered them all! - Cactus enjoys his food most when you are nearby. . He loves his Churu tubes and Temptation treats and is ready to try more new delicacies. But tasty treats need to be limited as he is on a weight management diet. Sorry, Cactus! - He is currently taking medication to relieve his asthma, and for a condition called `feline hyperesthesia` to keep him from chasing his own tail. - Cactus loves to play! While any toy will do, his favourites are wand toys and small balls. - When he’s not stealing your heart, he’s busy working as the official bathroom and litter security guard. No one is free from his keen inspections. - Cactus enjoys looking out the window and will often take a catnap pressed up against the glass. - Cactus is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.
CACTUS’S IDEAL HOME - A home without small children or dogs would work best for Cactus. - Cactus would like to be the king of his home so he must be the only cat in the house. - As he can be prone to overstimulation, Cactus would appreciate humans who are familiar with feline body language, and who will help him avoid situations that make him feel prickly! - His forever family will need to administer Cactus’s daily medication. - Potential adopters should be pr
