My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kobi is a super sweet guy who is very loving and really smart. He is also a hugger. He is about 3 years old and 17lbs with short legs. He catches on to what you are telling him fast and responds pretty quickly to it. He gets along great with all the dogs in his foster home and settled into the pack in a week.

Kobi loves to run around with the ball in the yard, sunbathe, and do the zoomies. In the house, he likes to sit next to you and keep you company wherever you are. He is a loyal little guy, and you matter most in his life. He loves to be held like a baby and will stay like that as long as you want.

He is good with older dog-savvy children, but he can get annoyed if they do not leave him alone when he wants to be and will grump. He is a very good boy who just has a lot to say. He is also a great watchdog. He will bark when he hears noises near his home, so he would not do well in an apartment building.

Kobi is house-trained, walks well on a leash, rides in the car well, sleeps in his own bed, and loves to be covered! He mostly just hangs out, and he would be a good addition to a home with another or multiple dogs. He wouldn't do well as an only dog with his parents gone at work all day, since it is clear he loves to have others around to be with.

Kobi is being fostered in Santa Clara, CA. His adoption fee is $325.00

Additional adoption info

The first step to adopting is to complete the Adoption Application and submit it to the DogZone Rescue. You will have to ask for one by writing to us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com

You will be contacted right away by a representative once we receive it. Our application process includes an adopter and your vet, if you already have animals and an interview on the phone with your adoption coordinator. We require a home visit to ensure the environment is safe for the dog.
It usually takes about 2 -3 weeks from the time we receive the application for your dog to come home to you.

Our policy is to find the best home for each dog, where it will thrive in the environment of its new forever home. Although we work the applications on a first-come, first-served policy, it doesn't necessarily mean that the first application is the perfect fit. If the dog you applied for is not a good match for your home, we will make sure to work closely with you and your family to find which one of our precious dogs will be a great fit for your lifestyle. You can be assured that we do not misrepresent our dogs and we are absolutely honest when we tell you about our dogs.

Our adoption fee varies depending on the dog's breed and age. The range is $275- $300. Senior-to-senior program: On dogs 10 years old and older we work on a case-by-case basis and will reduce fees where we can. We do offer training support with all our adoptions; just contact us if you need help. The dogs are nurtured in foster homes and given basic training and treated for any injuries or illnesses that we are aware of.

Go meet their pets

We do not have an adoption center, we occasionally are able to take some dogs to events which we will post here. All our dogs are kept in private foster homes and are seen by appointment only. Thank you so much for wanting to adopt.

More about this rescue

DogZone Rescue is a group of individuals who are dedicated to ending the pet overpopulation and senseless killing of adoptable dogs. Our foster dogs come from shelters throughout California; we also take in strays off the streets and owner surrenders. We work closely with private Foster homes that are critical to continue our mission to save these precious animals.

We are all unpaid volunteers, and 100% of the adoption fees go towards caring for our rescued dogs. It is our mission to rescue and provide safe haven to as many abused, abandoned, and unwanted dogs as we have room for. These dogs would otherwise die in kill shelters, on the streets, or meet any number of horrible ends that befall the unwanted. We don't discriminate; we save dogs, regardless of their age or condition.

Prior to every adoption, all of our dogs will be spayed/neutered, current on all vaccines, rabies, and microchipped. We rescue, nurture and place Senior Dogs & Special Needs Dogs, along with the young and healthy. Here you will find a variety of breeds and ages.

We are also always looking for dedicated volunteers that would like to help. In addition to foster homes, we always can use help with transports in your area and home visits. If you are able to dedicate a few hours each week, we would be happy to have you join our team.

Complete Vetting is provided to our foster dogs including Microchip, up to date on Vaccines, Wellness exam, Spay or Neuter. We have a network of knowledgeable people who have been in rescue for many years who can guide you as you help save a life. While in foster care we learn their personalities and temperaments as well as work with them on crate training, house training and basic house manners. Then we help our adopters while the dog settles in.
