My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zane - Black male & Marigold - orange female. Will work for food!
These two are semi- social. They will be aloof and not lap cats. We think a shop or nice facility where they have access to daily food will be ideal for them. They are somewhat dependent on each other for contentment. They have lived indoors for a couple of months since being brought to safety from being strays near a busy road. Marigold is about 6 months old and Zane a young adult. They are in great shape. They pair can be adopted for $100. Spay, neuter and vaccines included.

The over population is very real. Please consider adoption to save a life! Fees for cats are $90. This includes spay or neuter, vaccines and worming. We are not set up for credit or debit payments. Cash & checks are accepted.

After hours appts can sometimes be made to view pets with an approved application. Advance notice is recommended.

Applications are required and can be requested by emailing fopcpky@gmail.com or downloading from the website: www.fopcp.org

More about this shelter

The Friends of Powell County’s Pets is a Non-profit organization located in Powell County Kentucky. FOPCP works closely with Powell County’s animal control to increase the visibility of adoptable pets living in the county’s shelter, and to place these pets in rescues or forever homes. Any donation or grant money received goes to directly support the care of homeless cats and dogs in Powell County and to facilitate their transportation to no-kill facilities in the United States and Canada. Care includes emergency and acute veterinarian care, vaccinations, heartworm treatment/prevention, internal and external parasite treatment/prevention, spay/neuter, and treatment of communicable infectious illnesses among cats and dogs. We also strive to educate the community about the importance of spaying and neutering while providing low-cost spay and neuter clinics.
