Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maggie is a soft-hearted, low-energy girl from St. Lucie County who’s searching for a quiet, loving home where she can truly feel safe and cherished. With her tender nature and soulful eyes, Maggie is the kind of dog whose quiet presence brings a calming warmth to any space. At her core, Maggie is a gentle and sensitive spirit. She can be a bit shy or timid at first, especially in new environments or around unfamiliar people. But with a little patience, a steady routine, and a calm, reassuring voice, Maggie begins to blossom—revealing a deeply affectionate side that craves love, trust, and connection. Maggie thrives in peaceful surroundings, making her a great fit for someone with a slower-paced lifestyle—perhaps a retired individual or couple, or a household that values the quiet moments. She loves her downtime, whether that’s lounging in a sunny spot, curling up in a cozy dog bed, or gently resting by your side while you read or relax. She’s still new to formal training, but she’s eager to learn and responds well to gentle encouragement. She’s not yet housetrained, but she’s making progress and will do best in a home that can offer her the time, consistency, and positive reinforcement she needs to succeed. Her sweet, observant nature means she’s always taking in her surroundings and learning at her own quiet pace. Maggie gets along well with other dogs, especially those who share her easygoing temperament. A calm canine companion may help her feel even more confident and secure. However, she would be happiest in an adult-only home, as children’s fast movements and high energy levels can overwhelm her. What Maggie really needs is a forever home that understands the beauty of a quiet connection—someone who sees her not for what she lacks, but for who she truly is: a loving, sensitive, and loyal dog just waiting to feel safe and loved. If you’re looking for a peaceful companion, someone who will reward your patience with quiet affection, soft cuddles, and unwavering loyalty, Maggie could be your perfect match. Give her the calm, stable home she deserves, and she’ll give you a heart full of love in return.
