Noel is a precious, sweet, loving, angel. Her story starts after being dumped in a neighborhood. She was on her own for a year, surviving by grabbing what she could of the food had be placed for outside for cats and dogs that lived in or otherwise wandered this neighborhood. She had to learn how to get food without being attacked, which from her scares did happen several times. It took a year and the beginning of a second winter until someone was finally able to catch her. Her leg had gotten caught up through her collar so for months she was only able to use three of her legs. The collar was embedded in her chest so the very first thing after her capture was to get her to the vet.
Healing her wound took weeks but all turned out well. She very much loves to be with her person, but also enjoys interacting with a small four legged friend.
Noel's perfect home would be an environment that is calm, warm, reassuring and patient. She has come into her own and loves to play with the other dogs and sleep in bed with her foster mom. This girl is very very special and the perfect life companion for that committed person. Adult home only. Contact: info@starfishrescue.net , Complete and submit a application at Starfishrescue.net

Starfish Dog Rescue – Why We Do It
Our belief is we were put on this earth to be good stewards. Those of us who put the core of our very being into helping as many of the abused and abandoned angels that we can simply believe this is what should be done. It is a dauntless journey, but even the strongest among us have times when we crater and fall. The pain, the suffering and shear numbers that lay before us each and every day can become the title wave that brings us to our knees.
So why do we do it? Because when the day is done and we still for a moment, we look into the eyes that would not be open, we watch the tug of war that would not be taking place, we witness the joy of a simple romp in the grass, we see the safe contentment of laying in a comfy bed that would otherwise be empty and we smile for those few that we were able to save.
Some days we get a picture sent by the proud parents of those who have been placed in a loving home by our hand, and “behold it was very good.” We smile with renewed strength and determination to start the next day and make a difference for one more.
