Hi there! I’m Sparky, a one and a half-year-old pup with a soft spot for tennis balls, belly rubs, and long walks outside. The start of my life was a little rough as I came from a neglectful situation, but I’m making up for lost time and learning how wonderful it is to just be a dog. Everyone says I’m doing an amazing job, and honestly, I think they’re right!
I’m a gentle, slightly shy guy who’s looking for a calm, patient forever home with someone who understands that trust takes time. Once I warm up to you, I’ll be your loyal shadow and cuddle buddy. I love being brushed, petted, and snuggling on the couch - and if you stop the belly rubs too soon, I’ll politely let you know!
Walks are my absolute favorite thing in the world. If you so much as touch my harness, I’ll show off my excitement with some joyful, wiggly backflips. I also love being outdoors exploring the yard, playing fetch, or just soaking up the sunshine. When I’m inside, I like to pick one chew toy and work on it with dedication until there’s nothing left.
I’m housebroken, smart, and very food-motivated, which makes training both fun and easy. I have lived with cats and get along great with them, but I’d probably do best as the only dog in the home so I can be the star of the show. Dog friends are fine for playdates, but I prefer having my people’s full attention.
My dream home would have:
A quiet, patient person or family who is home a lot (maybe someone who works from home or can come home at lunch!)
A fenced yard for playtime and fresh air
Plenty of walks, chew toys, and tennis balls
Lots of love - and belly rubs, please!
If you think we might be a good match, I’d love to meet you. I also qualify for Welcome Trial, which means you can take me home for up to 14 days to make sure I’m the perfect fit before making things official.
