Give him a chance and this Super Shy boy will Morph into your Lifetime Loyal Love.
Rescued from a scary outdoor life as a kitten, Shawn Spencer quickly showed hints of appreciation to his first foster so was moved to a new foster situation that offered free roaming space and meeting other kitties. Though he remains fearful of new people and their voices, he has flourished in his foster home area and made friends with other cats.
Sadly several other kitties have been adopted during his stay- not Shawn, though still a youngster, now is about a year and tends to hide at sounds of new people. He has grown quite comfortable with his foster though - he is even purrfectly fine when her one dog come in to visit! His Foster notes he's a better kitty than some of her own 😉
Because he is such a sweetheart, and because Shawn does require a daily spoon of Lysine powder on his food (a inexpensive supplement) to keep a watery eye in check, we really don't want to place him as an outdoor barncat. But we understand he's not what everyone is looking for - at least on the surface.
Whether you have a cat or none -Please consider adopting Shawn! Given time to adjust he will be an awesome cat like he is at his foster's (we would also allow up to a 60 day foster-to-adopt test period). More information about our FTA program: https://thefurrypawsfosterinn.com/foster-to-adopt
Spencer is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea treated, combo tested for FIV & FeLV, and dewormed.
At the time of adoption you will receive all medical paperwork.

More about this rescue
The Furry Paws Foster Inn is a very small based rescue.
We mainly help stray kittens get off the streets and into loving homes. Sometimes friendly adult cats and dogs do come through the inn looking for homes themselves.
There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We work diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.
To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered that comes through the inn. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care
