THE FOLLOWING CATS ARE BEING CARED FOR IN A LOVING MCR FOSTER HOME.
Dreidel is a spunky fluff-ball and a wonderful little companion. He loves playing with his chase-toys and anything with a bell on it. Despite appearing small and squat, he is spring-loaded; it is a lot of fun watching him do stunt-jumps to snatch his toys out of mid-air. He also loves to wrestle with his friends even though they are much bigger than he is.
Dreidel spent his first 3 months of life in the mountains of West Virginia. That may explain why he has so much hair to keep him warm! Just before the holidays, Maine Coon Rescue transported him to Baltimore, MD where he is now in foster care with his sister, Coal.
Dreidel loves to be scratched on the head; usually, it puts a big, visible grin on his face. He cuddles up and sleeps on the bed at night. So far, he has not initiated lap-sitting, however, he tolerates being held like a baby very well. Dreidel does have a habit of skittering just out of reach when he is approached -- possibly a hold-over from his days as a stray kitten. This behavior may subside as he calms down with age. As soon as the toys come out, his fear melts away. Otherwise, he is curious, headstrong and friendly.
Because he is still very young, Dreidel must go to a home with at least one other playful cat. He has never been around a dog but would likely adapt well to living with them, especially if introduced slowly and given lots of perches to observe their behavior in safety. His adopter should expect to brush Dreidel fairly regularly to maintain his thick but very fine coat.
Dreidel is fully vetted.
Dreidel's adoption fee is $225.00. This includes neuter, combo test (neg/neg), microchip, dewormer, flea treatment, wellness exam, FVRCP Vaccine, and Rabies Vaccine.
Dreidel is available for adoption within 1.5 hours of Baltimore, MD.
