Their adoption process
Adoption fee for cats/kittens is $75.00. Fee includes mandatory spay/neuter surgery, post-op pain medication, vaccinations, rabies shot, dewormings, flea preventive treatment, socialization, and litter box training.
We also do long distance adoptions to adopters in the northeast and other areas with fees ranging from $150-200, depending on area. This fee includes all of the vetting above as well as FIV/FelV Combo Test, vet check, fecal test, health certificate to travel.

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- If you are interested in adopting or wish an adoption application, you may send questions to contact Beverly Pack at cell 606-571-6224.
- Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
- Once the application has been received you will be notified of approval/disapproval. Then an appointment will be set to meet meet the cats.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Upon selection of the right pet, you must sign an adoption contract and pay adoption fee. If the vetting has been done, she is ready to go!!

The shelter is located at 820 Isaac Park Road in Louisa, Kentucky. The shelter is open Monday - Friday from 10AM-2:30PM. Appointments may be available on weekends and holidays.

We are a mandatory spay/neuter non-profit humane organization providing shelter, love and care for the unwanted, abused, and neglected animals in Lawrence County, Kentucky. We also provide educational programs to the public and schools in the area on the importance of spaying/neutering and pet responsibility. In addition, we offer low-cost spay/neuter programs for dogs and cats to the public in our effort to decrease the shelter population and the number of unwanted dogs and cats in our area.
