My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Zyra is now Wisteria with Arizona Animal Welfare League**

Her bio on AAWL site: https://aawl.org/pet/50259842

Meet Zyra – The Queen of Cuddles!

With her sleek, shiny black coat and regal presence, Zyra is a true beauty who turns heads wherever she goes. This stunning 3-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix is as sweet as they come! She adores rolling around in the grass, soaking up belly rubs, and showing off her gentle, loving personality.

Zyra is great with big dogs and has been non-reactive to small ones so far, though she hasn’t had the chance to officially meet them yet. She’s still building confidence in new situations but is doing well on a leash and is calm for car rides! She’s both crate-trained and doggy door savvy, and best of all—she’s non-destructive. She has her bursts of playful energy but knows when to settle down and relax.

Zyra’s journey hasn’t been the easiest—her original owner abandoned her, and the kind person who stepped up to care for her could no longer keep her. Now, she’s ready for a forever home where she’ll be cherished like the queen she is.

Zyra is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped—ready to bring love and loyalty into your life. Could you be the one to give this gorgeous girl her final happily ever after?

Additional adoption info

Please remember filling out an application to meet / adopt a dog, does not guarantee your right to meet that specific dog.

When you apply for a job- there may have been 10-20 other applications for that ONE job. The employer is going to pick the best fit... Just like we are going to try to pick the best fit not only for our dog-- but for YOU too! Sometimes there are even 5 great fits but remember-- we only have ONE dog!

We have had TONS of success matchmaking families with certain dogs if you trust us to do so! So try not to be discouraged if you don't get the opportunity to meet the dog whose picture you may have fell in love with! There will always be another!

If you hate the whole application process- head down to Maricopa County Animal Care & Control and / or AZ Humane Society. There are THOUSANDS of dogs waiting for you to show up & take them home
