Silver Linings was contacted at the end of January by Columbus Animal Care Services about two dogs that were not doing well in the shelter environment. Lucky for them, we had a foster available and they got accustomed to their foster home that very same night! This was back in February of 2025 and they've been with us since then.
Jake and Lucy are litter mates and very loving dogs. Jake is bigger than Lucy by about 5 pounds, but he's taller as well. They are affectionate, gentle dogs who love to snuggle up on the couch with their people and are looking forward to having a human to call their own. They also are down to take a long walk if that's what you want! They just want to be with their people. The local trainer at Mannered Mutts has offered a couple free private lessons to the adopter.
Lucy is cheeky and shy, and has a habit of looking up at you through her bangs. She has what we suspect is a collapsing trachea, but that has improved with cough medicine.
Jake is the more serious of the two and is currently on anti anxiety medication. He has shown improvement with that.

Jake is neutered and has been kept UTD on all flea, tick and heartworm meds during his time with Silver Linings. A home without cats would be best, but they get along with other dogs with proper introduction.
