Looking for a pup who’s smart, sweet, and always down for adventure? Meet Lucky — the loyal companion you've been waiting for!

This 1.5-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix is not just handsome (check out that black-and-white coat!), he’s also house trained, crate trained, and eager to please. Lucky thrives in an active home where he can be part of the action — think walks, hikes, games of fetch, and lots of quality time with his humans.

Despite his high energy outdoors, Lucky is a chill guy inside. He’s happy to lay by your side for a movie night and occasionally even watches the screen with you! He’s a total goofball with a heart of gold.

Lucky enjoys other dogs with slow introductions, but he’d also thrive as your one-and-only. His enthusiasm may be too much for small kids or senior pups, but he’s great with adults and ready to bond hard. He loves tennis balls, kiddie pools, and just about any activity that includes you.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
