Dori and his sibling Hagi (also adoptable!) were rescued from the streets of South Korea, where they survived against the odds by scavenging for food—even eating newspapers to stay alive. After being taken to a shelter, they tragically lost their mother, who was euthanized. Despite this heartbreaking start, both pups have shown incredible resilience, love, and strength.
Now safely in foster homes in New York after flying over from Korea, Dori is continuing his journey toward a brighter future. Over the past five months, he has come such a long way—learning to trust humans, gaining confidence in his environment, and even beginning to engage with some dogs. Though still timid, Dori is very smart and continues to make steady progress every day.

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at WaldosRescue.org and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog. We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
