Jill was found in a ditch on the side of a country road with her brother Jack. While she can be a little shy at first, she’s quickly gaining confidence and starting to shine. Jill is great with other dogs, cats, and kids, making her a wonderful fit for just about any family.
She’s still learning how to walk on a leash, but her playful, high-energy personality really comes alive in the yard—she loves to pounce, toss sticks in the air, chase balls, and wrestle with her doggy friends. Jill is a sweet, spirited girl who just needs a little love and patience to fully bloom.

Adoption application required for dogs. However, because it stresses cats to be confined and transported with dogs long distances, we do not transport our cats. They are local to Texas only. Thank you.
Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.
