My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mamacita (aka Big Mama)! This gorgeous senior gal is looking for a calm, loving indoor home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort. Born around February 16, 2013, Mamacita is spayed, fully vetted, and more than ready to break free from the shelter and into the arms of a loving adopter.

Big Mama would do well in a home with other feline friends, but she would prefer a quiet, dog-free, and kid-free environment, as too much commotion can be overwhelming for her. She has a charming habit of sticking out her adorable little tongue, especially when she’s enjoying some tasty treats!

If you`re ready to give this sweet, deserving girl the cozy retirement she dreams of, apply online today at eastshoreha.org! Once approved, we can facilitate same-day adoptions.

Want to meet Big Mama in person? Stop by during our open cat viewing hours:
Monday: 12 PM – 4 PM
Friday: 12 PM – 5 PM
Saturday: 10 AM – 1 PM

Don`t wait—Big Mama is ready to find her perfect home!

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
