HENRY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Henry       Best Guess for Breed:  Heeler and pointer mix

Best Guess for Age:  3 years as of March 2025       SEX:  Male

Approximate Weight: 51 lbs

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter foster home; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!

Henry is Looking For:   His forever home! Henry is a pretty awesome pup who has been doing great in his South Carolina shelter foster home. He's got all that great young-dog energy for long sniffy walks and romps and all the adventures you can dream up. And he's got that affinity for cuddles at the end of a fun day together. Doesn't matter what it is - as long as you're there, he's up for it. Making new pup pals along the way would be nice too.

Quality kibble, a cushy dog bed - yeah, those are on his wish list but tops is knowing where he belongs, being safe and loved. In exchange he promises loyal companionship for all his days. Does that work for you?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
