My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** To alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society`s physical locations. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please do NOT click the Adopt Me button and instead reach out to the current owner directly via the email provided in the profile. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form. ***

She is a calm and really, really sweet girl who likes attention
- For the most part, she’s content on one of her two large K9 Ballistics beds (we have one
on our main living level and one in our bedroom/Morgan’s office)
- She’s a sporting dog and needs to get her energy out! We currently take her for two
1-mile+ walks per day around the park
- She is innately a rodent hunter and is very attracted to squirrels and rabbits on
our walks
- She’s good with other dogs (respectful and curious on our walks; reports from boarding
are that she enjoys running with the other medium-sized dogs during the day)
- Up-to-date on all vaccines
- She is potty-trained
- She is crate-trained
- Until moving to Chicago in July, she’d slept in her crate at night on our main living
level
- Since moving, she’s slept on her bed on the main living level or, more often, on
her bed in our bedroom
- She has separation anxiety and has a really hard time when we leave the house; she’ll
bark, often continuously, while we’re out of the house
- Morgan and I both work at home
- We normally give her Trazodone any time we leave the house for a couple hours
at a time, which seems to help
