My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Robin, a 4-month-old Husky, Siberian/Terrier, and Pit Bull mix who is still finding her confidence but making progress every day! While she’s still a little shy, once you see her outside her kennel, you'll discover how sweet she truly is. Robin loves being pet and will shower you with kisses in return. She’s still a baby at heart, learning about the world around her and discovering new experiences. Sometimes, she might need a little extra comfort and you may even find yourself carrying her like a baby—she just loves being close! Robin is also a big fan of treats and is excited to learn new things with some tasty rewards. This gentle, loving pup is ready to grow and thrive in a patient, caring home!

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
