Mona is a stunning one-year-old kitty with a silky black coat and a heart full of hope. Though she’s shy at first, once she feels safe, her gentle and affectionate nature shines through. Mona was cared for since she was a kitten, but now she finds herself at our rescue, longing for a place where she’ll never be left behind again. She would thrive as an only cat, soaking up all the love, or could happily join a home with other feline friends

Famous Fido was founded by Gloria Lissner who has been independently rescuing dogs from the death rows of kill shelters since 1975. She officially opened Famous Fido Rescue & Adoption Alliance in July 2010. All our dogs recieve the necessary vet care and treatment is never refused. Famous Fido has developed a full merchandise line, starting with our all natural dog treats to support our rescue efforts. Our products are available for purchase on our website. The mission of FFRAA is to form an alliance with similar organizations to increase community awareness, public consciences and create a No Kill Nation.
