Myst is an older lady who has had a rough time in life! She came into the shelter very stressed after being taken by the sheriff during an eviction. However, despite her people falling on tough times, she once was loved and spoiled and had received medical care. At age 10, she has some arthritis in her hips, and has benefitted from a volunteer vet providing acupuncture in the past! Myst takes an omega 3 supplement for her comfort as well, but ultimately needs a chill and low-energy home. She can be overstimulated with other cats in the shelter, which makes it hard for her to show what a gentle and loving girl she is to adopters. She has devoted staff members here who love her, but desperately needs a forever home to enjoy her golden years!

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
