We named this little guy Casey, after one of the people who found him. He was running up and down a busy road and was lucky that he wasn't hit by a car. By the look of it, he's been out on his own for awhile now and he's pretty skinny. But no worries there - now that he's safe with a foster, he will start putting that weight right back on once he gets his fill of healthy food and treats. According to his foster he is a very sweet boy. Right now he's a bit on the shy side (to be expected after being on his own) but she says he is a very friendly little guy. His foster says he is a great lap dog since he will sit near her feet waiting for her to pick him up for snuggle-time.
He's already been to the vet and he received his vaccinations, and was neutered. He is estimated to be about a year old, and currently weighs 13.8 pounds. He will gain a few pounds back to bring him up to a healthy weight, but he will remain a small dog since he is believed to be full-grown. And when we say he's a small dog, we mean he's a small dog...check out his picture next to a cat to see what we mean!
Casey is housebroken and he will go and sit by the door when he wants to go outside. He's wonderful with children and loves to snuggle with them. He doesn't seem to be very food motivated, but loves to get praised. He's definitely a good boy!
