Meeko was found by a sharp curve on Bobbit Road on March 5, 2024, by a caring young man who knew he deserved a second chance. At his first vet visit, Meeko was estimated to be about six months old — and he’s been full of playful puppy energy ever since!
Meeko is a good boy who loves dog toys and still enjoys a good puppy chew. He sleeps through the night in his crate without any accidents and spends most of his days outside in a fenced yard, coming inside to cuddle up at night. He’s a friendly, affectionate pup who adores being petted and will shower you with licks to show his appreciation.
He’s learned to sit — although his wiggly puppy butt sometimes makes that a little tricky when he gets too excited! Meeko is a great car rider and is currently using a slow feeder bowl to help him pace himself at mealtime.
Meeko is looking for a loving forever home where he’ll get lots of attention, playtime, and continued guidance as he grows into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.

The Humane Society of Davie County is a non-profit 501c3 group seeking to make a difference in the lives of animals in Davie County and surrounding areas. The Humane Society obtained tax-exempt status in late 1998 and since then has endeavored to improve conditions for animals at the local animal shelter, raise awareness in the community about the need of spay/neuter of animals, and place numerous previously unwanted animals into loving homes. The Humane Society’s long-term goal is to eliminate the overpopulation of dogs and cats in Davie County.
