My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My Name is Sampzen. I think I got that name because I was getting bigger than my mom at about 4 months old. I’m a year -old Main Coon mix with grey tabby stripes and I’m a big boy. Not as big as the TicToc ones but still big enough. And I’m still growing! I’m a super loving kitty to both people and cats. I follow my foster mom everywhere and I lay with her at night until she falls asleep. After that, I go play – my foster mom has caught me a couple of times up at night running the hallway with the other kitties 😊 Like most Maine Coon kitties, I like to be petted and join in active play (string toys and running up and down the cat trees). But I’m a lover after all – did you know that boy cats are often more cuddly than girl cats?? That’s me!

My foster mom rescued my mom when she was pregnant with me and my siblings. My mom was able to get great care so that all us kittens were born strong and healthy 😊. I’m a very sweet boy. I love on the family (both adults and kids) and the kitties who come by as fosters. I really like to be busy playing or bird watching out the window or watching birds on You Tube TV. I’m a pretty versatile kitty. I know you’ll love me.

I’m all ready to go to my forever home. I’ve been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. I’m sure I’ll be great friends with the whole family. I’d also love a family with another friendly kitty or two (or adopt one of the other foster kittens that live with me). I may be a bit shy at first but that won’t last long because I love people. So, if you’d like to have a handsome, sweet, affectionate addition to your family, I’m your cat. I’ll be waiting to hear from you!

P.S. This is a very loving and affectionate kitty who would warm your lap and your heart and who deserves a loving family home. So, if you are willing and able to adopt this wonderful boy, please email drtweets2@msn.com or call/text 602-757-9791 and ask for Deb.

There is a re-homing fee for all cats and kittens..
The potential adopter would come to the foster home to meet the animal and then a home visit.
We return calls/texts/emails almost always within 24 hours even if the cat has already been adopted. We want to encourage adoption whether its from us or some other rescue.

Go meet their pets

More about this rescue

We are a group of women and men who have volunteered in rescue for over 20 years each. We foster the cats and sometimes dogs in our homes with our own animals. This allows us to get to know the animal and what type of family would fit it.

We also are the care givers for several community/colony cats at a local college. We've been doing this for years also. We have stabilized the cat population at the college and the only new cats arriving are ones abandoned there. We haven't had a litter in years!!! We TNR all the cats but don't return the tame ones as we foster these and get them new homes.

We also educate friends and colleagues on finding new homes for their own cats if they can no longer keep them.

We would love to welcome in other like minded people to foster, help trap, stock the feeder and water stations, and drive cats to the S/N clinics. We would also welcome any cat food donations for the feral cats.
