Benny was originally born into the rescue in November of 2019 to two GWP mixes, Jack and Diane. Benny was adopted with his brother, Bo, and recently returned due to the owner moving.
Benny is a very sweet boy. One of his littermates was recently DNA tested. He is 50% German Wirehaired Pointer, 38% American Pit Bull Terrier, and 12% supermutt.
Benny lives in a foster home with another male dog his size. Benny is 45 lbs and 6 years old. He loves kids! Benny is a sensitive soul who bonds quickly to his humans. He would be great in a home by himself or with another playful dog, but needs a home without cats or small dogs. He would love to be your adventure buddy!
Benny is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, on HW prevention, and will come with a Seresto collar.

All of our dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated and tested for heartworm (dogs) or FIV/FeLV (cats).
To adopt an animal from us, you will be required to complete an adoption application. When your completed application is returned to us, we will conduct a criminal background check, verify home ownership or landlord permission, check with any veterinary references and conduct a home check. Then pay adoption fee.
Please note that our adoption contract for cats has a NO DECLAW clause.

More about this rescue
We are a small non-profit rescue focused on the 4.77 square mile town of Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our goal is to make Speedway a no-kill town where every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped and properly cared for. We rescue all animals taken to the town's Animal Control facility. We assist owners in need with veterinary care and food/supplies. We help trap-neuter-release feral cat colonies and socialize/adopt kittens under 3 months old.
Due to limited resources, we are unable to accept animals from outside the town's boundaries at this time.
