My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Iris. She is super human friendly dog and loves her daily walks. Her foster mama has taught her lots of leash manners. Iris doesn't do well with other adult dogs. She loves puppies and if a puppy is raised with her shell be fine. She didn't get a good start in life as she was a breeder dog. Iris has been in our facility for almost a year. We all have high hopes for her that her fur-ever home is out there. She is
potty trained, crate trained and loves her daily walks. Will you be Iris fur-ever human?

More about this rescue

Laws4Paws Overview
Laws4Paws is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working closely with the humane shelter system and rural communities across Colorado. We are PACFA-certified and committed to placing dogs through individualized adoption processes. Every dog in our care receives basic training and comprehensive veterinary care, supported by the dedication of our volunteers and donors.

Our Philosophy
We are not a rescue defined by numbers. We are a rescue defined by One Tail Wag at a Time. By focusing our time and energy on one dog at a time, we reduce the likelihood of returns, shelter drop-offs, or abandonment and increase each dog’s chance of a permanent, loving home.

Why Our Approach Matters
Rescue work is complex and often heartbreaking. Our individualized model allows us to provide the attention, rehabilitation, and follow-up support each dog needs to thrive in a new home. We ask for your understanding of and respect for this method, which prioritizes long-term success over short-term volume.

Foster and Volunteer Opportunities
We are always seeking compassionate fosters to help our dogs recover, learn basic obedience (sit, stay, come), and prepare for adoption. Fostering gives dogs the best chance to flourish and is one of the most meaningful ways to support our mission.

Values and Community
Laws4Paws is faith based and family centered, and we support the welfare of all animals. Our work succeeds because of the generosity and commitment of our community—volunteers, donors, and partners who share our values.

How to Help
If you are interested in fostering, volunteering, or supporting Laws4Paws, please reach out through our website or social media channels. We welcome your involvement and appreciate every contribution that helps our dogs find their forever homes.
Sincerely
