My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, lived a little girl named Cora Ann.

Cora Ann knew love and home until she was around 8 months old. Her daddy had to move out of state and couldn't take her with him, so Cora found herself at Care. Unfortunately, she ended up with a severe upper respiratory infection that was going around the shelter. She was very sick for a while, but with the loving care of the staff and volunteers at Care, she recovered and was moved out of quarantine into the shelter proper. The animal shelter is a noisy and stressful place and isn't any place for a puppy.

Lucky for Cora, she has been in a foster home since right after Mother's Day - it's quiet and she gets more attention than she would get in the shelter, but it is still a kennel in a basement and no place for a puppy to thrive and learn to be her best doggy self.

Cora Ann has been to several patios around town and quite a few adoption events and even though she is such a good girl and meets many people who think she is wonderful, she is still looking for her forever home.

Could that be you? If so, you would be very lucky to have her. She is:

- Friendly with people - including kids
- Potty trained
- Walks well on a leash
- EXCELLENT passenger in the car
- Loves hanging out in the yard, playing in the baby pool and drinking from the hose (the shower setting is her favorite)
- Loves to give hugs and kisses and she will climb into and sit on your lap if you let her
- Sits for treats and takes them very gently
- Sleeps through the night and has been non-destructive in her 5X10 kennel in the basement
- Could possibly have dog friends with slow and proper introductions as long as the dog friend appreciates Cora's rambunctious play style

She is a sweet girl who loves to be around people and who loves play and affection. She gives excellent hugs and will give you kisses and nuzzle your ears, it's so cute. She is looking for a stable and loving home. Please give her a chance. All she needs is attention, care, and lots of love and you will be rewarded tenfold. This girl has oodles of love to give to a special family who will love her.

Please give Cora Ann a happy ending to her story...
