Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mr. October – A Gentle Soul Ready for His Second Chance
This handsome brindle boy, Mr. October, was rescued from Dead Dog Beach in Puerto Rico by The Sato Project and is now on a journey to find the loving home he truly deserves.
At 6-8 years old and weighing 58 lbs, Mr. October is a sweet, calm, and gentle soul who is learning to trust humans again. Though his past was tough, he’s opening his heart little by little, and with patience and love, he will flourish into the most loyal companion.
Mr. October would thrive in a home with a family who understands his journey and is willing to give him the time and kindness he needs. His calm nature makes him the perfect buddy for cozy evenings and peaceful walks.
Currently in Puerto Rico, we want to fly Mr. October to the Northeast this summer if he can get placement before then.
Ready to give this sweet boy the loving home he’s been waiting for?
Let’s help Mr. October’s next chapter be filled with love and happiness.

The Sato Project is dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs from Puerto Rico. There are currently an estimated 500,000 stray dogs roaming the island’s streets and beaches. With no access to food, fresh water, or veterinary care, many of these dogs are living daily lives of severe suffering. The municipal shelter system is drastically overwhelmed, with only five shelters across all 78 of the island’s municipalities. These shelters have a combined euthanasia rate of over 94%. For thousands of stray and abandoned dogs in the area in which we operate, we are their only hope.
