`Very sweet and goofy to people he knows, it takes a little bit of time for him to warm up to new people. Nico has handling sensitivities, so you can`t be rough; not that you need to, he strives to please. He doesn`t like to be looked down upon, it`s intimidating to him, and he has some sensitivity to his collar area. That being said, he`s great on walks (when he`s not looking for/at prey or walking past a reactive dog) and he`s a staff favorite because he`s so gentle, silly, and incredibly smart.`

`The squishy faced boy that has a heart bigger than his head! The only thing that Nico wants is to be the only animal in the house full of adults only, please. Nico enjoys taking long strolls with his best friend, adventures with you, hanging out in the sun and happy days never ending with his best friend! He is loyal, walks well on leash and is ALWAYS so HAPPY TO SEE you once he warms up to you! We are so proud of you buddy you`ve come so far and grown up so much since first coming to us here at LHS! We love you buddy. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP BUDDY THERE`S SOMEONE SPECIAL OUT THERE JUST FOR YOU SWEET PEA!`
`Once you interact and get to know Nico, you will NOT understand how he can still be here. He`s a huge goofball and snuggler! He also enjoys a good game of fetch.`
`Nico is so loyal to those who care for him and make him feel safe, he is an old soul in a dogs body.`
`Nico is a wonderful, smart dog who is devilishly handsome. He has been here for a heartbreakingly long time, although I don’t see why, given the fact that he is a goofy, calm, sweet boy. His only flaw is slobbering all over your hands when you give him treats, which he will eat constantly if he can. Nico is an awesome dog, give him a chance and you’ll see so for yourself. :)`
