Meet Bean, a soulful 4-year-old shepherd mix with a gentle energy and a heart full of love. Weighing 40 pounds, Bean is the perfect blend of mellow and sweet, making him a wonderful companion for just about anyone. He’s dog-friendly, and adores people.
Originally from Texas, Bean came here with his family, who can no longer care for him and want the very best future for this special boy. He was loved and well cared for in his previous home, and now he’s ready to find his forever family.
Bean is a well-mannered gentleman- housebroken, great on a leash, and always eager to please. Whether it’s a cozy night in or a walk around the neighborhood, Bean will be right by your side. Neutered and up to date on vaccinations, he’s all set to start his next chapter. A home with no or older kids is best for Bean.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!
2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.
3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)
4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
