My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

--FOSTER PUPDATE--
Marco A171765
65 lbs. neutered male, approx 1 yr old

Marco has been in a loving foster home for four whole months, and he’s ready to find his furever family! He is the most handsome, silly, affectionate boy, and he’s going to make such a great pet.

- This active young guy loves to run in the yard and roll around & do army crawls in the grass.
- Loves his daily walks and would make a great jogging or hiking buddy!
- Crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic cues like sit, down, off, come, stay, and settle. He’s smart and eager to learn what you’re asking of him.
- His leash walking has really improved. After his initial excitement wears off, he settles in and walks well for the most part.
- Loves meeting new people. His foster home has recently been under renovation and he loves to greet all the workers every day!
- Likes kids too, but would probably do better with older kids due to his excitement. He’s still working on keeping all four on the floor!
- A home without cats (or possibly one with a dog-savvy cat with slow intros) would be best—he gets a little too excited and curious about them!
- Would probably do well with a dog sibling with a similar energetic play style. He’s done great on buddy walks and backyard romps with his bestie after slow, patient introductions.
- Loves toys (especially crinkly stuffies and anything he can chomp or shred!), zoomies in the yard, cuddles, enrichment games, and all the snacks.

Marco can sometimes get overstimulated or stressed in new or busy situations, but he’s been thriving in his familiar home environment with consistent training, and he knows how to calm himself in a quiet space like his crate. He needs someone to continue patiently introducing him to the world and helping him be the best he can be! With the right match, he will be the most affectionate, loyal pet. Is that you?
