We adopted Rigby from the Kansas Humane Society as a kitten in 2019. While he's been with us, our family has grown from 2 kids to 4 kids, and he has been the sweetest, most patient cat. Even when toddlers played a little too rough, he never bit or scratched. Rigby loves his people- he often hides out and naps during the day, but at the end of the day, he likes to wind down with us. He loves snuggles and scritches. He knows his name and comes when we call him, and getting brushed is his favorite pastime. He's 100% a pampered indoor cat.
As pets go, Rigby is as good as it gets; we love him, but we are not the pet owners he deserves. We hope to find him a home where he can be truly part of the family, and where he can get plenty of attention and love. An animal friend might be great for his mental health. He's never lived with other pets but has been around both cats and dogs when we petsat for family and friends. A home with no pets or just one other cat or dog would be ideal.
